Yoo Si Jin (Song Joong Ki) is the captain of the Special Forces. He, along with Sergeant Seo Dae Young (Jin Goo), catch a thief who is injured during his capture, is sent to the hospital while Dae Young realizes that he has stolen his cell phone and are going to retrieve it.


In the emergency room, Si Yin meets with Dr. Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) for the first time. Mo Yeon confuses Si Jin as part of a criminal gang but he proves that he is an army soldier.

If Jin and Mo Yeon start dating but due to their jobs, their dates do not end well. If Jin is ordered to take his soldiers on a peace mission to the country of Uruk (fictitious Eastern European country) a country torn by the war.

Mo Yeon rejects the sexual overtones of hospital president Suk Won (Tae In Ho), and as punishment is sent as leader of the medical team to Uruk. And in that place, Si Jin and Mo Yeon meet again. Will fate give them a second chance?
